The Calthorpe Sports Partnership is hosted by Calthorpe School and Sports College, which is the hub of the Partnership. The school has been the driving force behind the partnership and the new Schools Games programme, especially making sure that our partnership is an inclusive partnership giving sporting opportunities for all our young people. The School Games is a key Government priority for realising a meaningful sporting legacy from the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. It is supported by three Government Departments - Department for Education, Department of Culture, Media and Sport, and the Department of Health - with funding from Sport England, through the National Lottery. The School Games underline this Government's commitment to providing a new approach to competitive school sport designed to motivate and enthuse all young people
