During the summer term the Entry Level PE group had the opportunity to visit Shirley Golf Club and receive tuition from 2 of the golf professionals attached to the club. They received lessons every Thursday morning for 8 weeks and learnt to Chip, Drive, and Putt with varying degrees of success all having great fun and learning new skills.
This culminated in some students taking part in the Calthorpe School Partnership Secondary Golf Tournament which was held at Cocksmoors Woods Golf Centre. The students were a credit to the school and themselves & their effort and achievement was recognised when they received the special Achievement Award at the Calthorpe Partnership Awards Evening.
