Bordesley Village has won the Small Heath Cluster partnership basketball competition in style. The hard work started with a number of early morning training sessions (8am!!) where children were taught the rules and were able to develop their skills. They had twenty five children come to each session, and we were able to select two teams for the competition.
With several other schools competing for the trophy competition was tough. All children involved showed considerable skill and sportsmanship. Both teams from Bordesley village won all their matches and ended up playing each other in the tournament final.
This was a hard fought contest and as the clock ticked down the score was 3 - 3. The 'B' team broke down the centre of the court and scored, and found themselves the Small Heath Cluster basketball champions. They will now go into the partnership final which will take place in January 2010.
