Small Heath School: Breakfast Water Polo
Every Tuesday and Thursday morning pupils from Small Heath School attend breakfast swim club. In addition to improving their strokes, water skills and personal survival, all pupils are involved in aquatic games. 3 v 3 water polo.
In addition to improving the above skills each pupil is taught the principles of sending and receiving, spatial awareness and how to outwit an opponent. Pupils have to organise their own teams and select the appropriate tactics to win the game.
At present Year seven pupils compete against Year eigth,however we are looking at building this into games against other local school. Future development in this area will be to develop these sessions into a full version of the game.
