Small Heath Cluster: Quicksticks Competition

On Monday 1st March 2010, Small Heath School hosted the cluster hockey quickstick event. Boys and girls from Bordesley Village, Oldknow, Somerville, Starbank and Blakesley Hall competed in the event, with over forty five pupils in attendance.

After wining their pool games, Bordesley Village played Blakseley Hall in the final. Bordesley Village took an early lead however, with three minutes remaining Blakesley Hall equalised. At the end of normal time scores were tied and the game went into a sudden death shoot out, with Blakseley Hall coming out on top.

Bordesley Village will now represent the Small Heath Cluster at the partnership final at Mosley School on Wednesday 24th March 2010.

Finally, a huge thank you to Nisar Choudry, England Hockey Development Officer for assisting on the day.
