Oldknow Junior School has recently began blogging on their school website http://www.hazwebs.co.uk/oldknow/
Each class already has their own blog and teachers are involved in promoting blogging among pupils. The P.E department is the latest subject to get involved in the scheme and aims to inform pupils and parents on news within the subject. Sport related links are also posted within the PE subject menu that will give pupils and parents support in finding information on clubs and leisure online.
Encouraging pupils to write reports on sport they have took part in or watched is hoped to support their English writing skills as well as promoting sporting interest to others. A range of polls should enable data to be collected on pupil views regarding the subject and their experiences.
The PE blog can be accessed through the school website or at http://oldknowpe.wordpress.com/
