On Wednesday 23rd June 2010, 11 children from years 3,4,5 and 6 competed in a gymnastics competition held at the GMAC. The children were fascinated by the equipment they had and loved warming up on the trampoline and the bouncy floor.
They competed in two age groups; years 3/4 and year 4/5. Each group had to do a floor routine and two vaults.
Both groups did really well, the year 4/5 team came in third place and the year 3/4 team did fantastically well and came first. We also won individual medals; Tanim Wahid came third overall, Fiza Chowdhury came second overall and Nazia Islam came first overall.
Well done to all of the children who took part you did very well and I was very proud of you all!!!!
The children now go through to compete in the finals on Tuesday 6th July 2010!
