Christ Church have just begun their Sports Week which has an Olympic theme. All classes have been divided into 5 teams matching the colours of the 5 Olympic Rings: Red, Yellow, Blue, Green and Black. After an Opening Ceremony including their own Olympic Torch last Friday the events got under way today with all of KS1 taking part in Multiskills which were led by Y5 and 6 Play leaders with staff assisting.
In addition Y6 had a mini-speed stacking competition with 4 children from each team selected to learn how to do a 3-3-3 stack and then compete in a 4 person team relay. They also had a go at a balance speedstacking relay with team members having to stack on one leg and stack at the same time!
All year groups will take place in the activities which end on friday with a closing ceremony.

The second Calthorpe School Sports Partnership Awards Evening was held last night at Birmingham City Football Club. Colebourne Year 1 & 2 Dance Club opened the evening with a dance performance that was fantastic!
