Netball Match Report
On Wednesday 12th January 2011 Hodge Hill Girls' School competed in a netball match against Aston Manor School. Oyinkan Yemidale year 10 went along to support the team and to assist them with their warm ups. She described the match and the teams skills as the following: “They worked well together, they defended the opposing team and were good with their space It was fantastic, good to watch another well experienced school playing as they could look at their tactics and were aware of them.” The team’s use of effective tactics: moving into space and running for the ball whilst also defending the ball led to the team working well together throughout the duration of the match. The game ended with “a close score”, Aston Manor winning with 11 points whilst Hodge Hill Girls scored a respectable 8 points. Well done to the netball team for their effective teamwork and good use of tactics.
