On Thursdsay 22nd April Hodge Hill Girls' cluster held their tag rugby competition. Pupils from Stechford Primary School and Leigh Junior and Infant school spent an hour in the sunshine developing their skills of running with the ball and the tricky task of passing the ball backwards before embarking on an exciting and hard fought game!
With just one minute left on the clock, Stechford were winning 2-1. Then a dynamic run from a member of the Leigh team lead to an equalising try! The cry of 'next try wins' went up from the young leaders referring as the game went into extra time... and despite desperate efforts from Stechford, Leigh school went on to score that decisive try.!!
Well done to all pupils and the magnificant young leaders running the event for a fab tag rugby competition!!
