Calthorpe's First Awards Ceremony

Thursday 24th September saw Calthorpe’s inaugural Awards Ceremony. The evening saw, staff, schools, pupils and clubs recognised and rewarded for the hard work and determination they give in providing sporting opportunities for the young people. 

Below is a full list of winners and congratulations go out to all that were both nominated and won awards. I would also like to say a big thank you to all schools and staff that support the partnership making it successful in giving pupils a variety of sporting and leadership opportunities.

  • Male Young Leader of the Year - Asif Amin – Small Heath School and Sixth Form Centre
  • Female Young Leader of the Year: - Jasmine Carter  - St Albans Academy
  • Special Achievement Award - Calthorpe Golf Team
  • Primary Team of the year - Clifton Cricket Team
  • Secondary Team of the Year - Small Heath U19 Indoor Cricket Team
  • Young Sports Woman of the Year - Charlotte Margi – Hodge Hill SEC
  • Young Sports Man of the Year - Mohammed Ather – Moseley School
  • Most Competitive Primary School  - Clifton Primary School
  • Most Competitive Secondary School – Hodge Hill Girls School
  • Innovation Award – Mo Muhsen Christchurch primary
  • Primary Link Teacher of the Year Award – Alan Brown Chandos
  • School most committed to the 5 hour Offer - Clifton Primary
  • Volunteer of the Year – Geraldine Mills Coleborne Primary School
  • Club of the Year – Yardley Hockey Club
  • Primary School of the Year – Oldknow Junior School
  • Secondary School of the Year  - Small Heath
