Partnership Gym Festival

On Thursday 8th October Joseph Chamberlain Sports Centre was buzzing with balances, shapes and rolls! Pupils from Christchurch,Clifton, Colebourne, Percy Shurmer and Calthorpe got together to learn some new gymnastic skills and to showcase these.

The morning started with Wake up Shake up and some stretches led by St Albans Sports Leaders. The year 3 and 4 pupils were then put through their paces learning new balances, shapes and rolls ready for their challange. The task was to perform a sequence containing a roll, 2 balances, 2 shapes all linked by different ways to travel

The pupils ended the Festival by performing their sequence, all of which were greeted with smiles and lots of clapping. Medals and certificates for everyone.
