Badminton England KS2 BISI Festival

On Tuesday 9th March Nechells Leisure Centre hosted the Badminton England KS2 BISI Festival for Birmingham. Badminton England arranged the festival with the help of Sports Leaders from the Aston School Sports Partnership, to help promote badminton and teach basic skills to KS2 children. As part of the programme all schools attending will receive 4 sessions of coaching in school as well.

Clifton School from Calthorpe's cluster took part with class 4W representing them at the festival. The 30 children took part in skills coaching and activities with scores taken to see which schools had the best scores. Clifton did extremely well and one of their teams won their group. Class teacher Mrs Annette Waters said "We've had a fantastic day and the children loved every minute of it!".

Well done to everyone involved!
