Calthorpe SSp Awards Evening 2010

The second Calthorpe School Sports Partnership Awards Evening was held last night at Birmingham City Football Club. Colebourne Year 1 & 2 Dance Club opened the evening with a dance performance that was fantastic!

The evening went on to recognise the success of all the partners that work within the Sports Partnership and there was a range of people that attended from pupils, Head Teachers, PE Staff, National Govening Bodies of Sport and Parents.

Most Improved PESSYP figures: Bordesley Village Primary School

Young Leader of the Year: Umar Javed

Female: Polly Hemmings

Most Competitive Primary School: Bordesley Village Primary School

Most Competitive Secondary School: Small Heath

PLT of the Year: Mo Muhsen Christ Church 

Innovation Award with Curriculum: Calthorpe School and Sports College

School of the Year Primary: Colebourne Primary School

School of the Year Secondary: Calthorpe Special School and Sports College

Most Committed to the five hour offer: Colebourne Primary School

Team of the Year Primary: Clifton Primary School Indoor Rowing Team

Team of the Year Secondary: St Albans Yr 7 Indoor Rowing Team

Special Achievement within Competition: Tindal Year 4 Hockey Team

Young Sportsman of the Year:  Raees Afzal

Young Sports Woman of the Year: Jessica Pardoe

Volunteer of the Year: Garry Stevens Leigh Primary School

Club of the Year: City of Birmingham Basketball Club

National School Sports Week Award: Moseley Secondary School
