Children from Oldknow Junior took part in the City Athletic Finals on Tuesday 16th March at Nechells Leisure centre. The children had reached this stage of the competition by beating many schools in the Calthorpe Partnership rounds in February.
The pupils took part in a variety of events, such as relay races, short sprints, speed bounce and javelin. The athletics team worked very hard, but competition was extremely tough in this exciting City finals. The team managed to to take 7th place out of 9 teams. A big well done to all the pupils that took part, especially those children from Year 4, who took part in this big event for the first time.
