Pupils at Oldknow have been taking Cheerleading for the Autumn term, the club has been really successful encouraging both girls and boys alike to participate in action filled, fun dance routines. The children developed and learned different routines and sequences which helped them with communication as well as coordination, they were so successful they performed their routines to over 500 pupils in assembly. Shomaim a year 6 boy claimed, the cheerleading club has definitely improved his self confidence and self esteem. He stated that he is a lot more confident and this is reflected in his work in all lessons. The children genuinely loved the club and are really looking forward to more similar clubs in the future.
