Girls Rugby at St.Albans Academy
St.Albans Academy have recently been having some specialist rugby coaching especially for girls on a Tuesday afternoon. After a slow start they have been very well received by the Year 8 girls who are taking part in the sessions as part of their core PE lessons.
The sessions coached by RFUW Development officer, Sarah Hunter have allowed the girls to experience basic rugby skills and invasion game strategies. Despite taking place in a very urban environment the girls have shown good skills and displayed a lot of enthusiasm and energy for their new activity. Well done to all involved!
