St.Alban's Y5 Speed Stacking Festival

As part of National School Sports Week, Tindal hosted the St.Alban's cluster Y5 Speed Stacking Festival which was attended by Percy Shurmer and St.Anne's RC School with teams of 4 boys and 4 girls.

Almost all the pupils involved had not been involved in any other inter-school sports events this year and were new to Speed Stacking, despite this the level of competition and skill was extremely high. Teams received coaching from two Y10 Sports Leaders from St.Albans - Aisha and Amina Sahra - who were highly praised by teachers from the participating schools.

After the coaching the teams competed in 5 different events and relays including Team 3-3-3 and 3-6-3 stack races as well as Stack Up-Stack Down and Agility relays.

St.Anne's won the Girls competition with 4 wins out of 5 while Percy Shurmer won the Boys competition also with 4 wins out of 5.

Well done to all teams and sports leaders involved and the staff who took them (who seemed to enjoy doing the speed stacking just as much as the children!!!). We now look forward to the whole Partnership Speed Stacking competition in October.
