Today St.Alban's kicked off the new term by giving Rugby League a try. St.Alban's Year 8 and 9 boys both tackled the new sport with great enthusiasm and committment which left Birmingham Bulldogs coach, Russ Parker, very pleased after their first session.
The coaching has been arranged through an agreement with Calthorpe SSP and Birmingham Bulldogs as part of a schools development programme which England Rugby Football League are driving forward.
The coaching will be taking place on mondays all term with each Y8 and 9 boys group getting half a term of lessons each. Hopefully the boys will be able to take part in an emerging schools festival later in the term to put their new found skills to the test!
